A Tutorial to mangers and management.

I always believe that, managers and management is a new job category from 90's. One of the major reasons is there are too many people in this world than ever. There are too many skilled workers and any one with a better communication skill would be excellent - too many options for them.

A successful manager or successful management, one of the key successful factors, from my point of view, is the number of options. More options you have, better communication skill you have, you can always make a better decision. The manager can implement whatever campaign, policy, rules, COST SAVING or etc because the available options make sure he won't fail.

But the key is - OPTION.

Fundamentally, a good manager or management is just to make sure the individual or the team work better - They could do better than what they're supposed. They are supposed to be the worse, they could become worser with good management. They are supposed to be above average, they could be verity good worth good management. However, it is usually extremely difficult to change something from the worse to the best. You can't mind the gold from the trash. It is just impossible to create a miracle from nothing even with the best manager.

3 games, GD is -3, 3 red cards in 3 games, ranked 17th. If the name of team is Blackpool, I could accept that. And probably the scroll would be 18-2 if we do not have the better keeper.

Wenger, the world has changed, the way in 90's does not work anymore, either you have to change or you have to go. You eliminate the options you have, take away the possible success factors, what will be your plan?

From Windows 7 to Mac

After some works, I am above to transfer most of the data from PC to Mac. In the process, quite some challenges have been resolved, perhaps it is good to write down so that I could remember what I had done earlier...

Word / Excel / Powerpoint
The first major problem is to read the documents! Preview comes with Mac OS Lion is a read only program. Many options are available in Mac, such as iWork, NeoOffice or even Microsoft Office for Mac but all of them would still have certain compatibility issues.

The conclusion is to use the native Windows Word, Excel and Powerpoint and it is the only solution can guarantee 100% compatable....

So, the 2nd day I setup a VMWare Fusion with MS offices...
Synchronization of Outlook / BlackBerry / HTC Flyer
The 2nd major problem is the synchronization for the above. A very common answer from my friends is to go cloud (either Google or MobileMe). Personally, I don't like to much private information goes Cloud and I prefer to keep them locally...

Then, the sync program from BlackBerry supports both Mac and PC. However, the sync program from HTC only supports PC (Outlook)! Luckily, because of the Office documents problem above, MS office is there and I just need to migrate the pst folders as what I did previously for my new PC.
iTune
iTune is a headache in the begining. I was trying to sync with the iTune in Windows because the HTC Sync only supports Windows. Lot of issues with library path which makes sharing iTune library between Mac and Windows impossible. Then the solution is to use free tool 'Easy Phone Tunes' from Market.
iPhoto and Picasa
I was suggested to iPhoto in Mac but it is not really a nice job to re-manage all the Photos again in a new photo manager. From the web, transferring from Picasa Win to Picasa Web may also cause problems. So I have used the Picasa in Windows (VMWare) as of now... Maybe when I have time, I will try to migrate to iPhoto or Picasa in MAc.

After all, I am still happy with the Mac experience till now. Some of the things come with Mac are really nice and I have been looking for these for a while.

Native Unix Command
This is really nice and i dont need to setup the cygwin anymore... SSH is also built-in...
Virtual Desktop
The Mission Control is the Virtual Desktop implementation in Mac. Currently, I have setup two desktops such that one for Mac and one for VM... I can also configurate the VM such that it will always start in the Desktop 2.
Chinese input and Chinese Hand Writing
Chinese Input (倉頡) is still not yet as good as my Palm CJKOS. However, it is still useable. It comes with a code lookup tool and I can always use the Hand-writing or paste a Chinese charater to look up the code. Not only it just looks up the code for 倉頡, but it also looks up the codes for the other in-use method...
Time Machine
Backup feature is something I need to spend time in my PC for long and I don't have a good solution yet. It is either too much of work for a backup or the solution does not backup / restore very well.
Time Machine is great. It is just automatic and restore is not difficult at all.

Dictionary
Finally there is an OS comes with a nice dictionary ("New Oxford American English". and "New Oxford British English").

Of course, lot of other issues are still pending...

Java / Eclipse / BlackBerry / Android SDK
Apple is using it own development framework. Transferring the workplace from Eclipse BlackBerry SDK to Coca is not straight forward at all...
Firefox Multitouch gesture
Firefox, which is my favorite browser in Windows, does not support the Multitouch festure in Lion, waiting for the update.
Native office application
NeoOffice.... but also no time to try.
Finder and Keyboard Shortcut
I missed the 'Windows' + E to open the Windows Explorer. Mac does not provide the exact same short-cut to open Finder...

書架上，有無數的書和未讀的書。因為這些的書，我會認為這是我的地方。

看過的書，不敢說得上什得很。未看的書，類形好像來來去去都一樣。
隨便一數，真的有得多書未看。2011，其中之一的願望是希望將時間用多一點在閱讀。

足球的生日 Party...

係星加坡，其中一樣會比較易做既，係踢波。

可是踢一場波，絕不便宜！一個人一場（兩小時左右）太約要 S$10 - S$15，萛港紙差不多要 $50-$80。在香港，一係一分錢都唔洗（街場），一係是市政局，貴極有個限度 - 如果有本事訂到場的話。

相對貴既場租，好處係獲得場地的方法比較簡單，有錢就得啦。而係近年係星加坡興起的室內五人足球場，好似愈起愈多。睇尼就係因為有得做。呢 D 球場，雖然多數都唔係特別就腳（同香港一樣），但係一到晚上和假日，必無吉場！而除除左五人場，亦都有稍大，場租更貴的七人場，不過從本人所見的出空置率來看，五人場應該更受市場歡迎。

另外，可能因為市場競爭的關係，場地的’草地’雖是人造草，但是’草’的質數好像比香港的高一點。
另外還有像餐廳一樣的生日優惠，比較有趣。

註 1: 跟據 http://www.thepitch.com.sg，一場波一個鐘 S$80 (Peak Hour, 7pm-2am weekday, all day Sat, Sun and public holiday)。最少兩個鐘，即係一場波要 S$160 要大約 $930，如果 15 個人分 (三隊)，就要每人 $60。

若果谷歌豁出去，切切實實退出中國，至少樂得一個自由捍衞者的美名，對他開發其他新興市場未嘗不是一個正面宣傳，跌個橙，至少執番個桔。豈料上月底，谷歌最終還是向中國政府申請續牌，承諾遵守中國法律，並接受監管。兜個大圈，演場大戲，卻走回原點，損兵折將，又把賺回來的名聲一次過擲回垃圾桶，令人想起一句，「又要威，又要戴頭盔」。

但細路曳曳，大庭廣眾地發癲，扭阿媽計買糖食，唔拉返屋企打餐懵，都起碼跪地主，唔俾食一餐半餐飯。呢啲係中國人教仔方法。洋人又係唔明。

1Q84

近幾年，都嘗試每一年最少看一兩部長篇小說。

2010，第一本看的是村上春樹的 1Q84。

看村上春樹的書不多，只有挪威的森林。

1Q84 就是 1984 的意思。故事是圍繞住兩個主角 - 天悟和青豆,的故事。
兩個主角在兩條平衡的故事線上各自發展著，卻又彼此交錯。

看過這樣有兩條故事線的書也頗多，好像有董啟章的《天工開物》。

1Q84 故事緊張精彩，一頁一頁的翻下去停不下來，卻又好似到最緊張的時候完了，而村上春樹本來是沒有計劃 1Q84 的 Book 3 的。

現在側期待著 Book 3 的中文版快點而世。

沒有 Palm 的日子，買什麼電話好？

早一陣子心愛的 Palm Treo 680 跌爛了，尋找了 Treo Centro 好一陣子都找不到。一心打萛等 Palm Pre （或者任何 Palm Web OS）的機有貨才買。

結果，等不了，因為連我的 Nokia E71 也死了。
今次的死因是因為電話沒理由的發熱（在我的 E71 很正常），熄機以後開不了。

馬上去了 Nokia (星加坡)，一小時後的回答是，我們要把你的機 Esculate 去 L2 Support （咁上下），但係即係 27/5 一定拿唔到。

只得一部 Sony Ericsson K750i，對我來說都沒有太大問題，但 K750i 跟著我很久了，也跌了很多次，又給我好幾次大雨之中使用。還沒死，但是話音已經變得很不清。

沒電話用，只好買一部。

我本人買電話的要求很簡單，一個有 Qwerty keyboard 的電話，有聲，有 Email，可以跟 Outlook Sync 就可以。

但是，在沒有 Palm 的日子，這樣一個電話原來都不易找。

iPhone 沒有一個實在的 Qwerty keyboard，從來沒有考慮。

最開頭是考慮 Google (Android)，後來聽聞 Google 有 Engine 會調查電話使用模式（即是去什麼 Web Site 多，做什麼多）。而 Google 是做呢一行 (Data Mining) 起家，絕對有可能。打消念頭。

Windows Mobile 也沒有考慮，很久以前用過兩前 Windows Mobile 都是幾個月便賣機，再加上 Windows Mobile 7 不會向下兼容 Windows Mobile 6.5，更不會考慮。

經過 E71 的經驗後，再加上 E52 更差，Nokia Symbian 又不考慮。

結果發現竟然沒有選擇。

結果，買了一個 Blackberry。

爆冷。

沒有 Palm 的日子，買一個電話竟變得這樣難。

有則真實故事，看出兩位十來歲青少年不同的消費智慧。
兩個同學要上學，甲說：「明天一起上學？」乙答：「好，一起在港鐵站等。」甲說：「港鐵又擠，乘港鐵後更要走 15分鐘才到學校。不如乘小巴較直接。」乙說：「港鐵便宜 2元，早些出門便能省點錢。」結果他們各自回校。
到了學校後，甲和平常一樣，先到小食部花了 6元買蒸餾水後才上班房，乙同學則直接上班房，因為走了 15分鐘累了，便拿出從家裏備來的冷開水來喝。
甲和乙相約一起午膳，到了茶餐廳，冷飲需加兩元，他們同樣喜歡凍奶茶和熱華田。甲叫了牛腩麪和凍奶茶，乙則叫豬扒飯和熱華田，最後甲付 22元，而乙需 20元。
第二天是假期，丙生日，甲和乙相約先一起晚膳，然後才到丙家與大夥兒一起慶祝，大家都說好了各自要帶點零食。乙出發前先到超市買了數包優惠價的薯片和糖果，把袋子裝得滿滿的共花了 50元。他們上了一家西餐廳用膳，冷熱同價，乙這回選了冷飲。晚膳過後，甲才猛然想起忘了買零食，匆忙間到便利店買了小量薯片和糖果，花了 70元。

有計劃地花錢　收穫大

到月底，甲乙兩人約了一班女同學們到咖啡店，乙因為這個月省了不少錢，有些小積蓄，慷慨地請了女孩們喝咖啡，她們當然很高興。甲差不多把這個月的零用錢花光，只有餘款供自己飲用。
年輕人常說零用錢不夠花，可能是不經不覺地浪費了零用錢。像甲般，完全不注意生活上的細節，錢便無緣無故地流失。乙懂得把錢花在應花的地方，把花錢的時間和地點作適當的計劃，他的智慧及得到的收穫比甲的更大。

一個月慳慳埋埋有兩舊水到 (10 * 5 * 4 + 20)，家下 D 咖啡夠膽死成四十蚊一杯，請一班女同學飲咖啡食件 'Cake'，分分鐘一次過洗突....

Taxi Fare in Singapore

Up till now, 1 year and 6 months in Singapore. There are few things identified cheaper than in Hong Kong.

Taxi Fare is one of the these few things, although most of my friends in Singapore (Either HK or Singaporean) do not agree.

Let's take a look to Singapore Taxi Fare.

In summary, the major cost are:
1: Flag Down: $3.00
2: $0.2 for every 385 / 330 meters.
3: Peak hour / overnight surcharge.
4: CBS / Airport surcharge.
5: ERP surcharge.

Taking the SG-HK exchange rate today (9-Nov-2009): 5.58. So it means:
1: Flag Down: HK$ 16.8
2: HK$1.1 for every 385 / 330 meters

In HK, taxi fare is much simple.
1: Flag Down: HK$ 18
2: HK$1.5 for first $HK70.5 and HK$1 after the first $HK70.5

If we convert to a comparison, the it will become.
1: Singapore: HK$2.85 (First 10km)/ 3.3 (After first 10km) for every 1km
2: Hong Kong: HK$7.5 (First 9km)/ $5 (After first 10km) for every 1km.

So it means Taxi fare in Singapore is definitly cheaper than Hong Kong.

It is a common mis-understanding, like the MTR in Hong Kong is more expensive than MRT in Singapore...

I fixed my iTunes

Following the purchase of the new laptop, I had setup all the software again.

It was so troublesome and I got probelms for every software that I installed, including iTunes.

After the installation of iTunes 9.0.3, it started without any major problems. But the GUI showed Chinese. Then I changed the GUI language to English.

After the switch of the language, the iTunes could not start! It showed "iTunes cannot run because some of its required files are missing. Please reinstall iTunes." when I started it. iTunes could not start, of course.

With so many uninstall and install, it did not work. The same error message kept. Then I decided to dig into details - I monitored the iTunes configuration.

I found that the language preference was actaully written into registry HKCU\Software\Apple Computer, Inc.\iTunes\LangID.

Nothing would be there with the default language was being used, while it would added / updated when another prefer language was used. When I set the iTune to English, iTunes could not start with the error message about. When I removed the registry, or change to 1028 which was the LangID for Chinese, iTune could start.

The miracle began here. I tried to switch every possible languages to see what happen. Simplified Chinese - did not work, English (UK) did not work also.

Next, I tried Swedish. iTunes could start !
I changed my preferred language to Swedish, iTunes could start!

And last but not the least, the language of the interface was still in English.
An iTunes installed on a Windows 7 with Hong Kong as system locale should use Swedish as the preferred language so that it displayed English properly.
This is so unbelievable!!!

Funny....Anyway, I don't really care.

But, the voice over did not work again!

九寨溝

去得成九寨溝，首先都係要感謝 Virgina 小姐的準備。
沒有她就跟本去不成。

九寨溝，聽了很多，照片都久不久都會看到。但是很多東西真的沒有去過，看過是真的不相信。
很多相看起來很假，但是就是這樣。
黃色的樹，綠色的林，青色的湖，紅色的花，藍色的天。
稀來往樣的人，就只有圖畫才有的顏色和構圖，都竟然在這兒看到。

初秋的九寨溝已帶著涼意，再加上地理關係和各樣客觀的條件。旅行的頭幾天是不容易的。

死海文卷

英文是 Dead Sea Scrolls。

在星加坡早一陣子有一個〔死海文卷〕的展覽，而星加坡是亞洲第一個國家有這一個〔死海文卷〕展覽，會有部份〔死海文卷〕既展出。個人覺得理由好簡單，同在星加坡上影荷李活電影比較快一樣，可以省除了翻譯，可以快好多。

未去呢個展之前，我對〔死海文卷〕的認識都仲是停留在《新世紀福音戰士》(1995)（日語：新世紀エヴァンゲリオン；英文：Neon Genesis Evangelion）的年代。即係當時〔死海文卷〕還是神秘，未明所以，未翻譯好的部依然多，大家對〔死海文卷〕的內容還是高度猜測的年代，有人估計內容是關於世界末日，也有好多人因為類似原因攻擊聖經的真確性。

去展覽前參巧〔死海文卷〕最新的資料，發覺已經面目全非，十年人事幾翻新。於翻譯了既絕大部份的文卷內，都係現有聖經的內容。而大部份內容都是沒大兩樣，什至有一篇／書的內容完全一樣。

因此，〔死海文卷〕失去了神秘性，大家（可能只是我）又少了一個可能會世界末日的諗法，想借此卷攻擊聖經的人又啞聲，同時我都對零波麗都失去了興趣...

但是，有機會參觀，按道理都不容錯過，看一看這一部大約有二千年歷史的古卷什麼來頭。

展覽一開始先會播放一段關於〔死海文卷〕紀錄片，接著上樓上展覽廳有一些歷代不同大少不同制做做方法的聖經的展覽。走了大約兩個廳，都是如此，都看不著〔死海文卷〕。

結果到時後，找到了：

就是這一片很小的一塊。
當然只是其中的一小小小小小小小塊，在這一個展覽會，總共有四塊，上圖的一塊好像是最大塊。

可能本人對文卷這一字有所吾解。
又可能個個展覽會個 Video 頗精采（對一個展覽而言），再加上 Web Site 內真是有一卷東西...

無論如何，都是一個有趣的一晚。

八十歲後

唔識我，十個有六個都以為我廿五歲。
上網時，做心理測驗十居其九都係話我似五十歲。
腳底按摩師父就話我似八十歲，禁邊到痛邊到。

早一陣，新聞話香港人平均年健齡七十九歲。

即係我已經 Above Mean，我加下每一日都仲係到既話已經賺左？

漫畫啤酒入門

跟住又諗下，佢地連打牌都可以拿 Certificate... 即係有一個方法，由理論到實戰去確認一個人既打牌能力...

iPhone vs HTC Touch

I am not a fan of iPhone because I think the features provided by iPhone do not fit my daily need.

And I actually think that it is quite bad if you consider iPhone is a SmartPhone.

I got this picture few days earlier from a friend, which is quite funny, and it is actually right.

So an iPhone is just an inch better than a stone.

Garuda Indonesia II (Featuring CX / SQ)

After checking the safety record of Garuda Indonesia, then, out of curiosity, I checked the safety record of Cathay Pacific. I have been their Gold member for quite a while. There was a time I took their flight every week.

The last major accident was 15-Jun-1972. I was not on this earth yet. That accident killed 81 people. It was caused by a exploded bomb under a seat when flying.

Nothing really interesting, but CX awarded "This was the first hijacking of a commercial liner in the world...."...,

When I was about to sleep, "What about SQ?" popped up in my head. With all these some kind additional and duplicated, security and safety checking and even the crews claimed all these just because of our safety....

The list in aiddiaster.com was actually much shorter... only 1 major accident.

However, it was on 31-Oct-2000, it seemed to me very close... and I could probably trace what I was doing that day....

The scary part was, this incident was nothing to with multiple baggage scanning (before immigration, before boarding) and duplicated document check. (counter, before boarding, boarding).

In wiki, it also contained a link to SilkAir, which is an airline based in Singapore. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore Airlines Airline... I think this is a budget version of SQ.

There was no major accidents after 1990. The one on 1990 caused no fatalities. But their record in 80's was terrible....

After talking to someone, said that to be fair, the fleet size does matter. I agree and I try to find the incident rate... I could find some reference and the result was not very suprise... According to the above.

Garuda Indonesia

As usual, I was going to Jakarta and just returned to Singapore.

The unusual was I had taken Garuda Indonesia. It was because the SQ flight so full from Sunday to Tuesday for any flights with any class code. And I was also in waiting list of Garuda in the beginning...

First time taken Garuda Indonesia, which is the national airline of Indonesia. When I needed to confirm the ticket, I was feeling a bit un-safe but then anyway. Flight was confirmed.

In the weekend before travel, I met a friend, He told me that Garuda' last accident was 2007. So he wished me a safe trip....

Actually it was not that bad when I was flying from SG to JKT. And it was just a bit bumpy when returning from JKT to SQ.

Tonight (Last nigjt), I was looking for the safety record about Garuda Indonesia. The result was actually interesting...

What a long list! The last accident was actually 3-July-2007. The link above only indicated 1 crew was killed. But then when I checked with google and wiki. I found this:

Garuda Indonesia Flight 200, a Boeing 737-400 flying from Jakarta, crashed and burst into flames on landing at Adisucipto International Airport, Yogyakarta at 0700 hours on 7 March 2007. 21 people were killed.

Luckily, I was able to return to Singapore, in one piece.

The above was actually no suprise.

斯德哥爾摩 - Mid Summer

SQ SMS Check-in

Singapore has recently launched a SMS Check-in Service, which draws my attention immediately. You can find the link here of you can see the text below:

Singapore Airlines is pleased to offer you SMS Check-in service designed to reduce hassle and offer more convenience should you be on the go.
To take advantage of this facility, you need to be a Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer or PPS Club member. When you log-in to your KrisFlyer account, access “My Booking Alerts” and register for a personal flight alerts profile.
To check-in, simply reply with the given code in the check-in notification sent from “SQAlert” and you will receive a check-in confirmation message when you are successfully checked-in for yourself.
SMS Check-in is currently available for flights operated by Singapore Airlines with the exception of flights departing from Colombo. The service is unavailable for mobile phone subscribers in Canada, Japan, Korea and USA.

For me, this is kind of innovative service because it is really better to check-in with mobile, especially when I am in oversea where internet connection is not obvious. The process is simple, just replying a SMS. It is done.

But then, the next question coming is, why I need to do an early check-in?
To reduce hassle, which is answered in the above already.

However, how do we present the boarding pass? Perhaps one day, the Singapore airport and some more airports allow to use a bardcode (or something else) on the mobile as the boarding pass, it could be the solution. Technically is possible and it is not very costly. But I don't see this will happen because part of the check-in process is visual check. This can't be done by a mobile device. In addition, even if I have checked in with mobile but I arrive the airport late. At the counter, will the airline still help me to print the boarding pass? I doubt. Or they have just released by seat because I did not show up in time.

The second reason for an early check-in is to select a seat, but I don't think this can't be done by SMS.

So? Do I need a SMS check-in?

One day, I went to the biggest shopping mall in Singapore, Vivo City. i saw this banner and i through this is so funny.

It is actually a banner from a restaurant. The name of the restaurant is "Boss", and the Chinese name is '黑社會'!

Look at this banner, it actually said '黑社會歡迎你'. I guess they just want to make a joke, but i don't think this is any funny.

Or, I just can't imagine, when we are going to have a dinner outside. Someone will ask, where we go to eat........... Hm.. "黑社會", even in English "Bosses".

Hm... or actually, 其實我應該無資格話人. XD

Why I need to switch to prepaid mobile service in Singapore?

Usually, a mobile operator would prefer a postpaid (contract) subscriber rather than a prepaid subscriber. It is because postpaid subscribers are usually more loyal to the network and they generate higher revenue.
Postpaid subscribers also bind to a contract in term of years. It could mean the operator can give a bigger discount because once they have signed the contract, the cost to manage them for the coming years (1 year - 2 years usually) will be lower.

In simple, postpaid subscribers are higher revenue and lower cost.

On the other hand, prepaid subscriber is price sensitive and they are easier switched to other operators just because of the price. They usually don't value the service provided by the operator. From every annual reports of any mobile operators, we can easily figure out that the value of a postpaid subscriber is much higher than a prepaid subscriber.

Moreover, the additional cost overhead such as SIM cards, topup cards are also huge. Therefore, a prepaid subscriber usually means lower revenue and higher cost.

However, after receiving this bill, I would switch my postpaid subscription to prepaid subscription.

The picture here may not clear, but basically:
1: Postage & Handling Fee for Reminder. S$0.50
I am being charged because I paid my bill late. They have sent a reminder and it costs $0.5.
2: Caller-ID: S$5.00. Caller ID service is worths $5
3: AutoRoam: S$10.00: Roaming service is $10. It allows your mobile to roam.
4: Free v019: S$5.35. IDD call, subscription is S$5.35 per month.

If I switch to prepaid, the item 2 - 4 will be ALL free. It is just part of the package. In addition, since I become a prepaid subscriber, the operator does not need to send a reminder if I pay my bill late. I will save $0.50.

It is true that my mobile bill is paid by company. But I don't feel I am a value customer at all. One time, I paid my bill late, they have stopped my service when I was in Jakarta. I can't make call and I can't receive call. The operator did not allow me to log on to any network.

在一個偶然的情況之下，去了 Cathay 和 Singapore Airlines 的網頁。
在現今的經濟情況下，幾乎所有的航空公司都有不錯的優惠。始終，無論個人或公務而出外的人都少了。而所有的新聞都說明航空是艱難的一年。

看看 CX 的海嘯價，注意以下貨幣是新加坡圓：

從香港人看來，沒有什麼特別之處。星加坡曼谷 S$150 (HK$ 765)，星加坡台灣 S$380 (HK$1938)，星加坡日本 S$480 (HK$2448)，星加坡上海 S$430 (HK$2193)，星加坡美國 S$950 (HK$4845)。
我只可以說，超值。星加坡日本 $2448。從前這個價錢由星加坡回香港都不夠，現在加送日本。

再看看 Singapore Airline：

從香港人看來，這一個是震憾價。
星加坡東京 S$798，星加坡上海 S$838，星加坡北京 S$938，星加坡台北 S$838。星加坡 Los Angeleus S$1498。注意的地方是，去東京是最少二人同行，所以價錢平一點。

有趣的地方是，星加坡台北 S$838，CX 是 S$380。用同樣的錢，CX 是二人同行還有錢來買免稅品。到上海也差不多差兩倍。

很有趣的現像。

巴士減價

以下的圖片是今日 (27/3/2009)的蘋果頭條。

巴士減價，理由是油價和其它各樣物價都在下跌，跟據可加可減機制，巴士要減價。減幅是 3.03%。可是，根據政府人仕消息，政府需要巴士公司提交財務資料，包括未來兩年的經營數據，如油價、成本，一併考慮。據知，巴士公司在加價後客量雖下跌，收入已有增加。

整個過程大約需要半年。

半年後，香港人死晒～ ^_^

當然不會，但是半年的過程，是否太長呢？在香港商業社會，每一個決定都是商業決定，每一次都是談判。最後的結果都好像是單一個，少數人得到利益。

相反，在星加坡，減左，四月一號實行。

在星加坡，除了綠化做得好比較好深印像，政府效率高，是另外一個深印像的地方。
當然，星加坡所有公共交通工具都係公有的，即係是政府的，所以可以有個說要減就可以減的可能。但是我壞疑，在香港，政府就是要減政府的收費，可能也是等了又等都做不成。

尋找孫燕姿

星加坡最出名的，是雞飯。問十個人，大概八個會說如此。最後兩個，會說孫燕姿。

孫燕姿是一個在香港頗為有名的歌星，成名作是＜天黑黑＞，出名的作品有＜遇見＞，＜逆光＞，＜開始懂了＞，＜我的愛＞等等。

在香港，我這一代的人，應該不會有人不懂孫燕姿。

可是，在星加坡幾個月，從未有見過孫燕姿的踪影。直至一至看見巴士站的以下 Poster。

如果注意得到，在 Poster 中，吃飯了嗎對下有一些小字，可能看不到。但是它寫的是孫燕姿，在我感覺而言，通常來說是不太有名的人才有名字出的。最少，我在這兒看到的劉德華和成龍的 Poster，不會寫著他們是劉德華和成龍（PS: 在這兒成龍好像很... 受歡迎的）。

早一陣子在香港，在銅鑼灣 Sogo 對面有一張 Adidas 的 Poster，主題是 Me, Myself。
主角就是孫燕姿，說她做了 17 下什麼的運動。

在星加坡，也有同一個主題的 Adidas，但就是搵幾個鬼婆，講返 D 咁上下既野。

當然真正既原因可能是兩回事。
一個有趣小發現。

Bus Service in Singapore

在星加坡，公共交通工具既選擇不多。只有地鐵，巴士，輕鐵，的士。
跟香港不一樣，沒有電車香最重要的小巴。

雖然香港地方小，但如果只是由巴士香地鐵，去好多地方都會變得好不方便。
例如西貢，如果西貢人只可以坐 92號，我想西貢沒有現在的多人居住。

小巴的定位是介乎地鐵 / 巴士既大型交通工具香的士的一個平衡。

星加坡的巴士，雖然是實施分段收費，但是感覺在這兒坐巴士好像比香港的全程收費還要貴。
好像以下我經常坐的巴士的收費表，最低收費 S$1 (~HK$5.2)，最高 S$1.9 (~HK9.88)。而只係坐三個地鐵站，就要 $1.4，香港已經可以由黃大仙坐到出尖沙咀。

可能星加坡地平關係，這兒的巴士服務沒有香港的直接，很多時都會左穿右插。站與站之間的距離亦過近，令行車時間增長。還記得第一次在這兒坐巴士，本來是很近的兩個地方，竟坐了四十五分鐘，上車時睡著了到醒時還沒有到。

經歷過星加坡的地鐵和巴士服務，會絕對明白為什麼這兒的人愛駕駛。

最後，這兒的巴士服務，令我最能欣賞的是有一個用 SMS 查詢下一班巴士到站的預計時間，頗準的。使用方法是發一個由兩組數字組成的短信，第一組數字是巴士站號碼，第二組數字是巴是號碼。之後便會收到一個回信告知要查詢的巴士幾多分鐘後才到站。記下一些常用的巴士站號碼後，這一個服務什為實用。

DA21 隨影

Pentax DA21 已經收埋左一段時間，因為有一段時間發覺佢 D 相好似唔係咁好，但係近日發現有無用 Hood 同相片出尼既 Quality 有直接既關係，結果早一排係香港就買返一塊 43mm 既 Filter，可以裝入 DA21 本身既 Hood 入邊。因為咁，我既 DA21 獲得重生。

其實，早一論用緊 DA*16-50 既時侯，已經係某一 D 相入片，一眼已經知道係 DA21 影出尼。而開頭係無呢一個感覺既。直至用過 DA18-55 / DA50-200 -> DA40 / DA21 -> DA18-250 -> DA*16-50。再睇返 DA21 D 相，先至發現呢個鏡頭可愛之處。

想影 Wide 可以，Close up 得，Snap Shot 都一流。

雖然最近入手 FA43，但係今日都影左好多隨拍照。

下個星期好似有 Pentax 活動，睇下到時我會用 DA21 定係 FA43 啦。

Arshavin - English football has surprised me

唔明？中文即係”手雞"。

係星加坡，經常同（香港）人討論既就係 Singlish。
聽唔慣既人就會話呢到 D 英文好怪。
我就覺得見怪不怪，其實 Singlish 同香港人講廣東話無分別。即係香港人會講：
”囡，你食唔食個 Cake?"

Pentax DA* 16-50 and DA 17-70

There are not many choices for a standard zoom for Pentax. Nowadays, there are few choices
- DA18-50
- DA16-45
- DA17-70
- DA*16-50
- Sigma 17-70

There are lot of comparison between the DA16-45 and DA17-70, but not many between DA17-70 and DA*16-50. I got a chance to borrow a DA17-70 to try for a while, and finally got time to do a comparison.

The test below was carried out in my office in the night time and It was not professional at all. So if you see any obvious problems, please kindly share with me. The chop area is not very ideal due to various limitations. The conclusion is also very subjective. If you don't agree, just voice it out. :)

Setup:
- Pentax K20D
- On tripod with shutter release cable.
- Av (I should use M, but forgot to do so because it was too late)
- Spot Metering, Automatic White Balance, ISO 100, Spot Focus, JPG.

Scenario:

@16/17mm

@36mm

@50/53mm

@70mm

Conclusion:
- The center resolution between DA*16-50 and DA17-70 is similar.
- The border resolution of DA*16-50 is slightly better than DA17-70.
- The extreme border resolution of DA17-70 looks better than DA*16-50.
- The color rendering of DA*16-50 is more saturated.

In the daily shot, my feeling is that the DA*16-50 actually can provide a more 3D image than DA17-70, even for the same f4/f5.6. However, this is really a subjective feeling after using various lens.

探針：哀哉王維基，哀哉香港優勢

亞視上演的《王維基的最後十二夜》，比過去數年製作的任何劇集更引人入勝。這短短十二天，是亞視「最好的時代，也是最壞的時代」。壞的是王維基對機構文化的批評，刺傷了部份耽於安逸的員工的弱小心靈，令到人心惶惶，恐怕會成為被裁目標；好的是積弱多年的亞視，終於出現一個肯大刀闊斧改革和敢於說真話的領導人。可惜一切俱往矣。

王維基點出了癥結所在

始自麗的時代，這間電視台曾多次易手，其間節目偶有佳作，惜往往無以為繼，直至由紅頂商人接手後，便乏善足陳了。究其原因，就是節目以外購劇為主，減少自家製作，並放棄香港市場，以照顧大陸觀眾為主要目標。最要命的就是以往稍有能力和鄰台分庭抗禮的新聞報道，政治立場也傾向北京，惹來「中央十台」之譏。其實無論人力物力，亞視都不能和國內電視台相比，亞視在中國大陸唯一優勢就是以「香港的電視台」這個身份，播映富有香港特色的電視節目，如果連這些也要放棄的話，就變得全無看頭，國內觀眾幹嗎要看你？何不看同聲同氣的國內電視台？結果就是兩面不討好，節目水準每下愈況，觀眾和廣告大量流失，收入主要靠內地廣告商接濟，以致連年虧損。
以「香港仔」自居的王維基在上任後曾說：「如果亞視要變成國內台，我冇興趣。亞視係一個香港人電視台。」「我好憎靠人，香港人唔應該成日問阿爺。」「即使有北面支持，我都唔要。」這些「去中國化」言論，對大陸人來說可謂刺耳，但亦一針見血地點出了癥結所在。亞視就如香港縮影，發生在其身上的事，亦是始自回歸後香港要面對的問題。

和大陸融合令優勢消失

早在二 ○ ○ 一年，前政務司司長陳方安生在其卸任前演說「撫今追昔、翹首明天」，談及港人越來越把目光投向大陸，過於關注香港與大陸接軌，忘記香港與大陸的差異、與國際的傳統聯繫才是香港的優勢。當時惹來親中媒體口誅筆伐，事後觀之證明她不無道理。
以近年陷入谷底的香港電影業為例，每年產量只有五十餘部，從業員除了埋怨受翻版和網上下載打擊外，有沒有反思當大家北望神州之餘，是否已失去了個性，為迎合國內市場而把自己弄得面目模糊？早年港產片的活力和魅力去了那？二 ○ ○ 六年，電影《黑社會以和為貴》港台同步上映，獨缺大陸市場，原因是大導演杜琪峰不想扭曲了電影完整性，沒有遷就大陸上映而修剪，索性放棄國內市場，其勇氣可嘉，因而贏得不少掌聲，亦贏得了極佳票房，證明堅持維護香港獨有之處才是生存之道。
香港的出路，不是和大陸融合，而是保留自己的特色以凸顯和大陸有所不同，如果這些優勢消失，如果香港和大陸任何一個城市沒有多大分別，香港人豈非自毀長城？王維基在亞視的改革甫開始已告失敗，未能令其撥亂反正，這除了是亞視的損失，也是香港人的損失。

頭一篇到馬六甲，萛是我星加坡之旅的第一次外遊。
一開始的時候有一點擔心，可能在不同東西的陰影影響之下。

到了馬六甲，感覺不一樣了。
它有著十年二十年前香港澳門有的簡單。
雖然現在開始發展起來。

發展，總有一個過程是整合和保留原貌，但是好像兩樣東西永遠都不可共存。
整合就不再是原貌，保留原貌就不再發展。就萛什麼也不做，也真的是保留原貌嗎？

最後：是這張臉的最後一眼，因為什麼東西都只有一眼。
的：是一個代名詞。
馬六甲：就是這個地方。

Stockholm Visit Again

又再返去 Stockholm，雖然只得幾天。
一開頭時候，很多大小插曲，幸好到最後也去不成（可能去不成才是好彩）。

半年沒見，樣子不一樣了，差不多，但是感覺不一樣。
一個特然變得陌生的地方。

Singapore Taxi

One day in the morning, I was taking a cap in Singapore to go to customer meeting.

When I waved my hand, I saw that the cap coming toward to me was a bit, hm, the luxury one. But it does not like the normal limo taxi in Singapore. When the taxi stopped beside me, I checked the fare and it was only SGD 2.00 (~ HKD 10.00) expensive than normal one. No big deal, I got on board.

When I got on the taxi, I saw two small LCD TV on the pillow. Not a surprise and it usually shows information on the TV.

Then, the taxi driver suddenly asked me: "You want to sing?"
It was earlier in the morning so my response was like "errr? sorry?"
He said again: "Do you want to sing? I have a mic here and you can sing here. What songs do you prefer?"
It was earlier in the morning so I did not really have the mode to sing, then I just replied: "No thanks, but it is a brilliant idea to sing on the taxi."

After that, the driver started to introduce himself and he was very famous. Even BBC had a program about his idea then bili bala bili bala. Finally, the driver realized I am from Hong Kong. So he switched to Cantonese and asking me "Do you want to sing Beyond?"

This time I was impressed.

Without my intervene, he started to play the "大地".

It was fun. I did not sing finally but I did try out the mic and it was not bad. The driver said that some people even really booked his taxi because of this.

It was a fun experience.

By paying only additional HKD 10 then you could sing few songs before home.

Imagine that you were taking this cab from Changi airport to the city, then it is totally worth it.

Property Agent @ SG

To rent an or to buy an apartment in Singapore, there are few ways.

- Check the newspaper for the advertisment.
- Check the advertisment on the internet.
- Check the leaflet

Most of the cases the advertisments are posted by the agents. The property agents in Singapore are independent business.

It does not like in Hong Kong, Sweden, or India, you can find a property agent company on the street. Then you can find out the market price of that area without stepping in the company. I like an area, I find the property agent over there, then I rent an apartment there. It sounds very obvious.

But the property agents are really independent business. I feel that it is actually no different than finding a job.

How independent it is?

When you flip the property page of a newspaper, not only you will find the available properties, but also you can see the agents, with their pictures.

It does not mean anything for me. But it makes me recall one thing. There was a research "Beauty and labor market" carried out by Daniel S. Hamermesh and Jeff E Biddle. Their reseach found out that a better-looking person could at least earn 5-10% more than an average looking person. An an average looking person could at least earn 5-10% more than an Homely looking person. So I always know this is true but here is another proof. Otherwise, why people snow their pictures?

Follow the First time in Sydney dew days back, I was actually taking the A380 from Sydney back to Singapore - my first travel with this air giant.

The air craft is big, but comparing with Boeing 747 Jumbo (Not sure the exact name), but I only had seen this air giant with 5 seconds and I did not have many comments about it. One of the differences was that there were four entrances at the boarding gate - lower deck 1st and biz class, lower deck economy, upper deck 1st and biz class and upper deck economy. It is kind of confusing to some passengers...

The interior is new, very new, of course it is new the people would imagine. I made this comment because I got a chance to take the new "product" from CX also. The CX's interior was supposed to be new but all ............ hm.

The front panel provides a high resolution screen, a glasses and a cup holder, a USB and a LAN port. According to the menu, you can put a USB thumb drive to see the video, pictures, PDF document using the LCD screen. I did not try it but it is actually a good idea. But I have no clue about the use of the LAN... Perhaps it will provide an internet access some days later. There is a video in connector and I guess it is similar use to the USB port, but less use. One evolution is that there is a power socket under the arm rest which is very useful for me.
The A380 also keeps the magazine pocket while CX has moved it under the chair which is absolutely inconvenient. It comes with few empty small pockets for your personal belongings.

I was unfortunately taking the economy class this time but fortunately the A380 provides an additional compartment which I like very much. The room is big enough for the pillow, blanket and my laptop bag.

Finally, I guess the above comments do apply for all the new interior for all SQ fligths, it does not matter with an A380 or not. Haha.

First time in Sydney

終於有機會踏足 Sydney！

可能人老的原因，少了一種好開心好開心的感覺。
但興奮總是有的，除了有機會看到歌劇院外，各樣的名勝都有機會看過一眼。叫做了曾到此一遊。

是一個九月尾到十月的日子，春天的日子，似暖還寒。
就像 Stockholm 的夏天樣，白天還熱熱的，到了晚上就要穿上外套。

Sydney 的亞洲人很多，真的很多很多。好像見到的亞洲人多過了眼見的澳洲人。所以亞洲的餐館也多的是。
第一天的晚上嘗了一間香港人開的館子，果然又給我說中。在那些地方也好，最好還是吃當地的食物。
可惜沒有機會。

最後還有機會到 Bondi Beach，感覺得好。如果熱天來。應該是一個很"熱"的沙灘。

在 Sydney 逗留的日子不多，希望可以再到 Sydney 多看一些地方，可以爬上 Syndey 橋。

Singapore F1

Singapore F1 just finished. It was the first night formula 1 event ever.

Undoubtedly, it was a big event in Singapore. Since half year back, you could see anything, anytime and everywhere could relate to F1, such as having a F1 racing cars in a shopping malls with all companies logos. All commercial advertisements were also related to F1.

After the events, when you read the newspaper. You could easily find every piece of news talk about the very successful F1. I would agree that it is a successful event. However, the news was kind of interesting. For example, one piece was about a speaker talked about this event was highly rated by people even over Beijing Olympics. And the speaker was from a local Singaporean company.

Of course the people would rate this event higher than anything. Technically, it is no different than asking me like "Do I see the balance my bank account more important than the balance of your bank account".

I have heard that many interesting point of views of the local newspaper, I see how is work this time.

This picture was taken three days before the event. They were testing the track. Many roads were actually blocked 1 week before to ensure enough setup time for the event. Haha.... Then i recall the GT3 Hong Kong track.

Final Fantasy X

在一個無聊又不想做事既旁晚，不明所以又看了 Final Fantasy X 的 Video。
又再看一回 Yuna 捉不住 Tidus 的一幕，都還是覺得好好看和感人的。

當然，要看過上文下理才會看得懂的。

Final Fantasy 是我玩得最多的一個遊戲系列之一。除此之外，應該都是 Mario Serious (Nitendo) 同 Winning Eleven 系列。Final Fantasy 由 IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, X, X-2 都玩過。由頭都尾都是玩英文版，故事都是自己由頭睇到尾。感覺與看攻略本又好不同。

在 VI 以後，由於遊戲畫面提昇，故事既震憾力愈來愈強。而 Final Fantasy，對我個人而言是一部電子小說。當然，在 IV, V, VI 的英文是比較爛的。到了後來 VII, VII, X 和重做的 III, IV, 裡頭的對白看來有重新寫過，好看和順口多了。

另外值得一提，就是 Final Fantasy 系列的配樂一直都很出色。全部歌曲都是 Square 自己創作。順便一提，當年王菲亦曾經唱過 Final Fantasy VIII 的 Ending 歌曲，可惜 VIII 的故事不是太過好。

Final Fantasy 有一個好幾個中文的譯名。最終幻想，應該是有台灣方面譯的，因為當年香港的電玩雜誌都是參巧台灣的雜誌。到後來好像多了一個香港的譯名，叫太空戰士。但是從來而何都不得而知了。

如果時間許可，或許會重玩 Final Fantasy IV, VII 和 X。

Mid-Autumn Festival (Moon Cake) @ Singapore

係星加坡，過中秋係無假放既。
亦都因為咁，星加坡人唔會出尼玩，大部份人都對呢個節日無乜感覺。

回應返上次寫關於中國鬼節既文章 (http://matchkk.blogspot.com/2008/08/pray-for-7th-month.html)，好像這裡的人會做一些現代中國人已經不再做的事。

在早幾天跟朋友的聚會中，他們也說這裡的印度人情況也一樣。

相反，這些中秋節，更傳統的節日，這身反而好像只是輕輕擦過。
如過不是經過 Chinatown，好像都不知道有這一個節日。

一開頭，覺得香港和星加坡差不多。但是住久了一點，又有一個新的看法。

I had started my first since 1998. There was no such term that time, even the "Online diary" was used later. It was just written using HTML with Microsoft Word / Frontpage. Writing web page was a "skill" that time, no tool was available to make it easier. So it was not very popular. Most of my classmates just made their homepage because it was their first IT assignment. Then the homepage would wait to die.

There was no specific topic in my "blog" and the access count was around 10-20 a day. The "blog" was hosted in the web page account in UST.

After leaving UST, I did not have any web page account. The blog had started its immigrant life. From UST to home web server using apache, apache to online storage, online storage to msn live, msn live to blogspot. I was trying xanga before but no good. I think.

Few years back I had my backup of the old blog, it was actually very fun when you read what you had written many years back. Some of the backup were gone and there was no way to recover it. Sad. Hope one day I could find some of them and share with you.

Still Remember that time when I was needed to go to India quite often, one of the most common questions was "Is India (or Delhi) very hot?". Usually, I would say that actually Hong Kong is hotter than India. This is because the tempature is similar but Hong Kong is far more humid than Delhi. Delhi also has more open space and in the night time it could be cold.

Today, just check my igoogle as usual. When my eye just pass by the weather forcast porlet, I see this:

So in reality, Hong Kong is really more hotter than Delhi. My god!

星加坡榴蓮

本人而言，覺得星加坡人對榴蓮有一種情意結，位於這中心的文化中心 "The Durain" 就是一個好例子。我覺得。

記得好多年前見到”呢檀野"，有一個榴蓮於市中心，眉頭一鄒。
當然，這一個榴蓮的 Designer 不是星加坡人，他對榴蓮有沒有認識，我不肯定。

即是又好像一套快要上影的星加坡電影 "The Days"，Poster 入邊又有一個榴蓮 (Poster 最右手邊的那一個人手上的東西)。種種看見的都令我有這一種榴蓮情意結的想法。

但是那一個（其實係一對）榴蓮劇院 (The Durain) 是一個不錯的影相對像，跟在香港影維港沒有分別。再加上附近既 Singapore Flyer 同埋隻星加坡獅子，另到所有去睇獅子既人都會順便好好奇咁走去看一看。榴蓮劇院特別的設計的確比香港既文化中心更能為為一個 Icon，而少有趣一點。再加上晚上從榴蓮刺透出來的光芒，會另我對這一個榴蓮拍下幾張照片。

在香港，拍維港的人行多，本地人好，外國人好，又過維港的時侯，又有多少人看過文化中心一眼？

Singapore Weather

Typhoon in Hong Kong again!

What I mean is this Typhoon is signal 8 again. In general, Hong Kong people do not think a signal 3 can be called as a Typhoon. The good thing for typhoon signal 8 is all (or most) people will get an extra holiday. Not only typhoon, a really heavy rain would also give HK people an extra holiday. The reason of giving an extra holiday is because Typhoon can be last for very long. People should go back to a safe place (home) during the period. It was actually very dangerous for people walking around during typhoon... Like this time, a man was killed because he was on the beach to see the big wave....

A safe place means indoor. It can be home, or karaoke room, playing Mahjong in your home, watch a movie in a cinema or something similar. Usually, it is not suprise for the karaoke box or cinema to be full house during typhoon. Some of the restaurants in Hong Kong do really open because it gives them an extra business opportunity. (PS: I can't imagine this would happen in S'pore coz it breaks the government's suggestion).

For me, I don't see any thing really bad about typhoon (Probably not true for those work in Airport or Fire Service). Not only I can sleep a bit longer than usual (just need to wake up earlier to ensure the typhoon do happen!), but also you can feel something different about your place. You will see a new look of the places you used to live in... You can really feel that how week a human being...

Typhoon in Hong Kong again!
It is probably the 3rd times this year. Sometimes you never get one in the whole year but this year is three in a row....
All my friends in Hong Kong just telling me that they get an extra holiday "AGAIN".

Then this questions come to me, is there any typhoon in Singapore?

The answer is very disappointing ---- "No".

Oh No! First of all, the number of public holiday is lesser than Hong Kong. Secondly, Singapore uses to rain a lot but only a short but messy one. You can just see the cloud coming and it is coming really fast, in 5 minutes. It starts dropping for 15-30 minutes and then it goes. It does not give you any extra holiday but just wasting your time if you are outside.

Pray for 7th Month

Singapore, in a way, is a very traditional country. There are many things could not be seen in Hong Kong many years, could be found in Singapore.

Pray for 7th month is a very good example.

When I was young, during the 7th month, I could see many people still go to the roadside to burn the "冥通銀行"'s banknote. In the factories, they would get a BBQ pig for this as well. At least I could remember I did that in the factory where my father working.

Now, I oculd not see that in Hong Kong, perhaps in a very very small scale. In Singapore, I could see this everywhere. Near the place I stay, near the place I work...

Besides, the pictures were taken by my back focus DA*16-50. I found out this problem after I had taken the pictures above. Anyway, you may see one of the pictures was very sharp because that picture was manual focus....

DA* 16-50 與 DA21

係當日的 Pentaxian Gathering 中，使用了 DA21 和 DA*16-50。用 DA21 的原因是因為我只係得一塊 49mm 的 CPL。當睇完”完英傑作拍攝技巧”之後，我中了 CPL 毒。

不過，睇返拍攝得出來的相，除了開頭 DA*16-50 好像有走焦之外，基本上都不是太差。
同 DA21 比，好像好一點點，但是我還是不太肯定。

多一點相可以參巧以下的 Album，請註意 21mm 的是由 DA21 拍出來的。其它焦段都是由 DA*16-50 拍出來的。

Stockholm Film Festival

一年一度既 Stockholm Film Festival，我第一次參與。
雖然我之前都參與過香港既電影節，睇左一套本來應該係瑞典但係變左做芬蘭既電影。

想睇電影節入邊既電影，必先成為 member，再比錢買飛睇。結果買左七套電影既飛，可惜只得一套係瑞典既，而當中就包括左墨攻，傷城。其它就係一 D 平時無乜可能係香港睇到既電影。

尋日，睇左墨攻同埋傷城。
有趣既係睇傷城既時候，因為個菲林既關係，個銀幕 cut 左個字幕，一係就睇到個字幕，但係梁朝偉個頭就比入 cut 左。跟住攪左好耐，都攪唔掂，結果梁朝偉就成日無左個頭咁就都係播落去，不過佢都有比返張 vocher 你。

係佢地嘗試修理既其間，同坐係側邊既兩個人既傾計，原來佢地睇既原因係因為劉偉強。佢地之前睇過無間道 (Internal affairs)，覺得好好睇所以就睇返同一個導演既電影咁啦。

跟住，佢地就決定唔睇 cut 頭版既傷城而決定退飛，就無睇落去 lu。

之後，睇左個 4 months, 3 weeks, and 2 days 既 Romania 既電影。好可惜，佢應該係講 Romania 既話加一個 Swedish 既字幕。但係大既都知道佢講乜。

好彩之後睇既日本 - Mourning Forest 同埋 Estonia 既 Autumn Ball 都係有返英文字幕。

到最後一日睇呢個瑞典 - Leo 既時候，又抱住一個戰戰兢兢既心情入院。到最後都係無 suprise，講瑞典文而無任何字幕。

我都寫左一個關於 Leo 既影評。大家可以睇下。
因為當中有聽唔明又睇唔明既關係，徊意多左電影入邊既其它原素，好似衫，佈景，配樂，相機既位置咁。

可能係香港睇得多荷李活既大製作，香港既都會睇一 D 比較穩陣既電影。係呢到睇左既七套電影，無任何一套比較好，但係較好既都係亞洲拍既例如“太陽照樣昇起”，“墨攻”，“傷城”，日本既 Mourning forest 都可以。當然呢個都可能係個人既口味問題，又可能係文化背景既原因，都可能係香睇既歐洲電影都買唔到飛。

另外呢到仲有大電影院，五六百個位咁。係香港已經消失係歷史既洪流之中 lu。

其實 Stockholm 真係唔係好多人，成個 Stockholm 都係得八間電影院到就知道。

Paris

講左好耐去巴黎，上個星期，終於去左。

這次旅程，首要多謝 Virginia 小姐今次盡心盡去準備今次活動。她不單只借出貴宅寬敞的梳化，更預先張雪櫃填得滿滿，什為感謝。

今日出發之前有少少意外，導致我錯過了第一活動，就是到一些小餐廳吃晚飯。幸好，也不是太晚抵達巴黎，到達之後，稍作休息，便到外租用了 Vilib 單車，夜遊法國。

Vilib 單車，是巴黎在四月引入的點對點單車設施，每天只要附出一 Euro，就可以於巴黎各地區的 Vilib 單車站租用 Vilib 單車廿四小時，從閣下附近的 Vilib 單車站租用一 Vilib 單車，再於目的地附近的 Vilib 單車站還取，極之方便。

其實中間經過唔少地方，如果唔係因為遲左到巴黎，我地應該可以踏單車去到河邊，不過家下去唔到... 雖然只係踏左一陣，但係呢個活動真係好正，夜晚係巴黎踏單車既感覺真係好正好舒服。

由於經過一晚的黑夜單車環節，朝早各人皆累，出發時間由本來的十時半推到十一時半。吃過大家樂式早餐以後（作為一個大家樂 Fans 以及股東既我，其實我覺得唔係好似，不過是但啦），就出發 lu。（呢到又多謝 Virginia 小姐提供既出錢一丁，雞蛋呀，腸仔呀等...

第一站係 Notre Dame（唔知有無串錯），係一個唔幾在幾時係既大教堂，入到去，好在，好宏偉，係我去過既教堂之中最大既一個。雖然入多，都亳不減少莊嚴的感覺。入邊點起左好多蠟燭，跟住就叫入可以損錢，咁就會造福人群，我就覺得呢個情況有點似係 D 廟到叫入添香油咁。

之後，我係法國飲左我既第一杯咖啡。唔係特好飲，不過個麵包就幾好食。

飲完咖啡，就去左羅浮宮，凱旋門等。都係個 d standard 但係又 expect 左去既地方。影左好多相（其實我自己唔係影左好多）。飲恨既係唔夠時間入去呢個羅浮宮同埋其它博物館，作為一個有文化藝術修養既我入唔到去，不過萛啦。
中間又睇左 d 立立什什既野，但係行程都可以用到具極之充實尼形容。呢到又再次多謝尊貴既 Virginia 小姐計劃今次既行程，Florence 不斷講解沿途既旅遊景點。

跟住時間仲好早，我地就行左個條唔知乜野既大街（法文同埋中文名都唔記得），好遠咁睇見到 LV 總店不過見唔到傳聞中既人龍，有 D 失望。不過其實家下香港既 LV 同埋 Gucci 都有人龍... 之後食左個法國 pancake，個個餅係由一個好生手既師傅仔做，做得慢之餘仲要成日失手，不過都無所謂啦。但係個餅就令我諗返當年係印度食既餅...

到在旁晚，我地一齊去左 Arnaud 既屋企一陣，坐低飲左 D 野，跟住另外一個舊同事就尼左，Kenji，日本人。Arnaud 我未見過，但係原來個陣我同佢做過野同埋講過電話。Kenji 就係一次去 KL training 個時識佢。跟住我又諗返起，D 人成日話日本人英文唔好，但係我就覺得佢好好 wo... 此外，Kenji 既老婆同埋佢個女 (都係女) 尼埋，聽講佢老婆識跳日本舞，佢個女又好得意... 不過 Kenji 太太就唔係太鐘意講英文，我就唯有同我僅有既日文同佢個女傾計，成功令佢同我打左個招呼。

過左一陣（其實都係三個鐘），我地去左 Arnaud 屋企附近一個小餐廳到食晚飯，我叫左一個 Arnaud suggested 既鴨胸，好好食呀！原來 D 人話法國野好食唔係流架，仲要好平。比起我係 Sweden 食個 D 野真係好好多...
我特然覺得我好似好耐都未食過好野咁.... 唉。

食完飯，就去左 Affel Tower，岩先趕得到睇佢閃。幾靚 wo，如果可以同表妹一齊再尼就好好啦。
不過唔知幾時有幾會 Lu。

呢一日就咁就完左，就係呢一日，另到我閃起左想買一部 D80 既念頭... 因為反正都係影，影張靚 D 會好 D，但係要買一大一細 Law... 睇下點啦。

經過行程緊密既星期六，去到左星期日大家已經唔可以再好似星期六咁九點幾起身。不過都好好，朝早上左個山仔（係咪叫蒙馬特？我都係諗返楊千嬅首歌先記得我去左邊）。一個好游閒既午餐。本來想買幅畫，不過好貴，無買到。跟住到四五點就去左個 Cafe 坐一陣，就返 Stockholm Lu。

總括尼講，巴黎比想像中靚，唔係好似 London 咁，又唔覺好似 D 瑞典人咁講到咁差（佢地對所有法國既野都好似好... 咁）成條街都係游客，可以遲下再去一次。

到最後，都係感謝 Virigina 小姐提供呢個場地同埋 Sponsor 膳食，亦都對佢既法文好 Impress。仲有多謝 Florence 既講解服務。

Swedish Class - Self introduction II

Jag heter Match och jag kommer från Hong Kong. Jag talar Engelska och Kinaska. Jah har varit två månader i Sverige. Min jobbar

system arkitekt.

Jag bor i Stockholm and jag har flickvän. Hon namn Karen and hon bor i Hong Kong. Hon kommer till Stockholm i Juli. Vi åkur

till Norge. Wi åkur från Oslo till Bergen på träna. Sedan driva wi bil till Bergen. Wi stanna två vecka i Skandinavien och

sedan åkur wi till Hong Kong. Wi maj åkur till Finland eller Göterberg.

Jag studera Svenska i kursen och jobbet. Min lärare namn är Ulrika. Hon uppfostra normal Svenska. Min kollega ofta talar normal

inte Svenska. Men de talar Svenska veri fort och följa inte Jag. Jag hoppas talar lite Svanska slut år.

I Stockholm sommar, Jag ofta rida min cykel. Ibland Jag rida till en kafé. Jag läsa and dricker kaffe. Min favorit sport är

fotball, vandra och någon bal modig. Men Jag förena inte någon fotball klubb nu.

Nyligen Jag kommer på en nu lagenhet in Västertorp. Det är veri trygg. Jag maj har en värmning parti. Du är välkommen.

狼圖騰

狼圖騰廣為人識係因為徐步高。

買左呢本書係因為一分鐘閱讀，而唔係因為徐步高。

這是李怡一分鐘閱讀的介紹：

2004 年，中國內地出了一本奇書，書名叫《狼圖騰》，是一本逾50萬字的長篇小說。這樣長篇的小說，出版後竟一直高踞內地各書店暢銷書排行榜的首位，至今已銷出 100萬冊以上。2005年9月初在北京書展，更以10萬美元的預付款加百分之十的版稅，把全球英文版權賣給了英國企鵝公司，創下了中國圖書賣出外文版權的天價。這究竟是一本什麼書，會如此受歡迎呢？

我買了這本書有半年了，因為太厚，一直沒有勇氣開始去讀。最近終於讀了，也知道書裡講些什麼，書中提出的問題也引起我的思索，而最重要的，它是相當好看的一本書。

50萬字的小說，由幾十本有機連貫的「狼故事」所組成，情節緊張刺激又一氣呵成，新奇神秘又給讀者閱讀的快感。

作者姜戎，30多年前作為一位北京知青，到內蒙古邊境的額倫草原插隊，長達11年。在草原，他鑽過狼洞，掏過狼崽，養過小狼，與狼戰鬥過，也與狼纏綿過。蒙古狼帶領他透視了「狼圖騰」，進而探討了狼文化與羊文化對華夏民族以至西方民族的影響。狼的狡黠和智慧，狼的軍事才能和頑強不屈的性格，狼的神奇魔力，作者姜戎與狼結下不解緣。

在書中，作者最終讓讀者從狼而聯想到人類。面對中國曾經輝煌也曾經破碎的山河，作者表示，炎黃子孫的「龍圖騰」極有可能從遊牧民族的「狼圖騰」演變而來。

對於《狼圖騰》這部長篇小說，我認為應從文學與文化兩個不同角度去評價。文學是指它的文學價值；文化是指它以「狼性」去解讀中國以至世界的文明史，去解讀中西民族的優勝劣敗，這種解讀是否成立。

從文學價值來說，這本書不能依常規的小說章法去苛求。它確實有點小說不像小說，紀實不像紀實的作品。但最主要是，寫得極為好看，書的主體部分陳述了在蒙古草原的遊牧民族，既受狼害又與狼不可分離，既恨狼又敬畏、崇拜狼，有所謂「學狼、護狼、拜狼、殺狼」的圖騰崇拜。小說描繪了驚心動魄、傷心慘烈的人狼戰爭，描寫了能夠在幾天幾夜像燎原烈火般把幾千匹馬的肉體徹底瓦解的蚊災、鼠災。在暴烈的血色場景的間隙，作者用雄渾而柔情的筆調，描繪了草原之美，那翡翠般的聚寶盆，那美麗的天鵝、野鴨、大雁，那色彩斑爛的雀鳥，那嬌艷的白芍藥、漫山遍野的無名野花，那清澀的草香……作者對草原的血色殺戮和令人心曠神怡的遼闊俊美，描繪出的逼真感，若非親身經歷過草原生活，是無法寫到的。

讀完大學之後，都未睇過一 D 厚書同埋多字既書。D 字又多又密又唔隔行仲要好多生字唔知點讀／解。

當然其中一個原因係因為係瑞典呢到先有呢個空間比我去睇書。香港既多姿多采既生活就無呢個空間...

In Singapore, one of the most different things is there are far more group / gang activities. So far I have join a Pentaxian gathering and Arsenal Singapore gathering.

I have joined some in Hong Kong, but the scales are usually too big or too small. In Singapore, the clubs, they like to make a polo or tee even with a very small group of people. Someone will design the shirt, it is really a design although it may not be brilliant.

The forum in Singapore, it is also quite different than the forum in HK. Here is more like the oversea forum, people is more talkative and giving more opinion. Atmosphere is positive.

Last Friday, I joined the August event which was a Sun rising taking event.... It was really early in the morning, I got to wake up by 5am in the morning. Unfortunately, it was a cloudy day so nothing much could be taken. Anyway, it was a good chance to try out other things.
